Freedom Fest! A family fun full day of events. Includes Boy Scout breakfast, the patriotic parade, reading of the Declaration of Independence, family night at the park, Town & Gown Community Band, and ends with the fireworks.

• 7:30 am, Veteran's Ceremony: Chestnut Park
• 8:45 am, Main Street Mile (walk/run): MSU Sparks Hall
• 9:30 am, Parade: Main St (10th to downtown)
• 11:00 am, Reading of the Declaration of Independence: Courthouse lawn
• 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Family Night at Chestnut Park
• 8 pm, Town & Gown Community Band and Chorale: Lovett Auditorium
