Thursday, March 14, 2019 🌎 Global Languages ShowcaseFrom 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Curris Center
The Global Languages Showcase is an annual festival for language students of regional middle and high schools to practice and present their language skills in a fun, competitive manner. A community outreach and recruitment effort by the Department of Global Languages and Theatre Arts, the showcase helps to expand cultural awareness and encourage students in their language/culture skills.
Participants display and discuss (in the target language) projects they created, such as models, art, costumes and videos with cultural themes. They may also compete in performance events that demonstrate their linguistic abilities, such as drama, chorus, dance and recitation of literary passages. Upper-level language students and faculty from the University host the showcase and serve as event judges.
It will be held on Thursday, March 14th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Curris Center, 3rd floor.
